American lutheran church women (alcw)

Women have been an important part of our local church ministry since our founding in 1902. All women of the congregation are considered members of the American Lutheran Church (ALC) women. Women are involved in many aspects of our congregation including but not limited to: assisting with worship, Church Council, ALC Christian Learning Center Preschool Board, ALC Endowment Board, participation in fundraising for church property and improvements and mission projects, working as assisting in the care of the church kitchen, various Bible Studies, prayer groups, visitation, and more.

General ALCW meetings are open to all women of American Lutheran as well as to all women in the community and are held the first Thursday of each month (excluding January and July).

Quilting takes place each Tuesday beginning at 9:00am and goes until noon or later if you desire. All are welcome to come when you can, and stay for as long as you like. You do not need to know how to sew – we also need people to sort material, cut blocks, iron, etc.

Next ALCW meeting is in Fellowship Hall (in church basement) on Thursday, December 5.

12:30pm ALCW executive committee meeting (in church library) preceding the General Session.

1:30pm General Session will begin with Pastor Brandsrud leading us in Bible study. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.
